ANOTHER STEP IN FOREST RESTORATION PROGRAM

Another successful step in the ongoing Forest Restoration on Degraded Lands in Knuckles Conservation Forest’ (KCF) sponsored by Noritake Lanka Porcelain (Pvt) Limited was held on 14^th September 2024.  The program is conducted under the patronage of University of Peradeniya. Around 150 participants representing Noritake Lanka Porcelain ( Pvt) Limited, University of Peradeniya, Forest Department and the local community and a group of students from the American Corner, Kandy engaged in this activity. Around eight hundred seedlings were planted during the program in order to refill an existing Forest Restoration Site maintained under this program, at Knuckles Conservation Forest.
